A Marathon with a difference!

We're going to have a bit of a different marathon at at Betteshanger Country Park in February 2018. So what's so different?

Firstly, when you sign up, you choose if you are a Mod or a Rocker. Which one you choose will then dictate which finisher medal you'll earn (we'll have one for each group...)

Then before the start we'll divide you up into the two groups and there will be a dance off, ah, OK then a coin toss. The winning group chooses which way to run, either clockwise or anti-clockwise, then secondly there will be second coin toss to decide who runs in the "fast" lane and who runs in the "slow lane" - so that way the two groups of runners won't be running in to each other, but still able to taunt/high five each other as you go around. We'll walk each group to their respective starts... and off you go!

Betteshanger Country Park which is a couple of miles from Deal town centre. We're hiring the tarmac cycle track for the day and the course will be 12.96 laps of the perfect running surface and will counts as a road marathon for 100 Marathon Club purposes.

We'll have our usual standard of goody bag that you expect from us, so there will be chocolate, there will be beer, or cider and some other decidedly non-healthly, high calorie, yummy things that you'll have earned the hard way and will fully deserve after running 26.2 miles not to mention the "picnic" aid station you'll get to visit every two miles!

We put on marathons run exactly the way we wish they were all run. Low key, friendly and with most of the entry fee being spent on the runners, in addition £5 will be donated to Betteshanger Country Park from each entry fee.
