World Vegan Day at Samphire Hoe!

The Wednesday November 1 is World Vegan Day and Rachel (the real boss of SVN) does like her healthy food and we have an awful lot of vegan runners so we thought we'd have an event geared more towards them than usual. So basically aside from the love custom bling we're going to set up slightly differently, firstly all the goody bags are going to be vegan friendly (and if you're not vegan don't worry there is lots of vegan junk food that would pass the Traviss Test to go in to a goody bag), secondly the aid station I'll let Rachel set up, so will be all vegan edible, probably a lot of Oreo's, perhaps some grapes, carrots, green things, chocolate chip Hob Nobs and that sort of thing. But basically for this one the default is vegan rather than vice versa like it is for the rest of the year.

Samphire Hoe is nature reserve created from 4.9 million cubic metres of chalk marl from the Channel Tunnel excavations. This has been left to mature in to a rolling nature reserve with an abundance of wildlife and for us runners, some lovely trails and a long wide dead flat sea wall to enclose it all.

It's our aim that this event makes an impactful difference to Samphire Hoe in a positive fashion and as such £5 from each entry fee will be donated directly to the nature reserve to aid them in maintaining this lovely environment.

The event will be a six hour timed challenge event. Complete as many loops as you wish within the time limit.
